John has been the Director of Tennis at the Greenmont Racquet & Swim club in Vienna, WV. for over 29 years. During this time, he has instructed thousands of players to play tennis. He has worked with nationally ranked juniors, adult league players and everyone in between.

He has a unique style of instruction which adapts to any style player allowing them to be whatever player they want to be. His skills have been developed by growing up in Charleston, WV during a great boom in tennis development. He played college tennis at West Liberty State College and taught tennis in Grand Vue Park and Wheeling Country Club before coming to Greenmont where he as been ever since.

He has worked in the local tennis community serving on local boards, introduced tennis to the schools, served as a USTA clinician, played a role in the early development of team tennis, member of the USRSA, Member of the Prince Advisory Staff, served as director of the WV state high school tennis tournament. He continues to educate himself, by regularly attending National conferences.

John is married to Shawn, they have two children, Matt and Alexandria and reside in Vienna, WV.
